Abstracts & Posters

Abstract Submissions are now closed

Several of the best submitted abstracts will be selected for oral presentations throughout the conference. If your abstract is selected, you will be required to register for the conference as a paying delegate. You will ALSO present your work during the poster session (in addition to the opportunity to present it orally).

All submitted posters will be visited by members of the Scientific Committee during the poster viewing sessions, with certificates being awarded for the ‘best posters’.

The goal of the abstract submissions and poster presentations at the Advances Against Aspergillosis and Mucormycosis (AAAM) meeting is to present new data in the broad field of Aspergillus and Mucormycosis research and care.

An abstract already presented at an international meeting, with no updates or additional analyses, will not be accepted at AAAM. Data already presented at a smaller national or regional meeting will be considered for acceptance. If an abstract already presented at an international meeting that has been updated or more recently analysed is submitted, then we (the Scientific Committee) will consider acceptance.

Acceptance emails were sent to all submitting authors during December 2019. If you haven’t received an email, please contact derry@hartleytaylor.co.uk.

Posters: Guidelines and Instructions

  • The maximum dimensions for posters are:Width: 120 cm (1200 mm)
Height: 150 cm (1500 mm)If you are producing your poster to a specific paper size, the largest size that will fit is A0.
  • Please ensure that your poster DOES NOT exceed these dimensions or it will not fit onto the allocated poster board.
  • Poster numbers will be posted on each board and you will be provided with instructions on the location of the poster boards and your number(s) at registration. Posters MUST be mounted on the assigned board(s).
  • Posters may be put up from 08.00 on Thursday 27th February and MUST be removed by 16.30 on Saturday 29th February. Any posters left behind after this time may be thrown away.
  • As your poster may be viewed at distances as far as 3 feet or more, we would recommend that lettering should be large enough to be read from this distance, preferably in an easy-to-read font.
  • Please do not mount your poster on heavy board or use a material which will prevent the tape sticking properly as this will make it difficult to keep in position on the poster board.
  • Double-sided Velcro, double-sided tape or Blu-tack may be used to fix posters to the boards. The Conference Organisers will have a limited supply, but it is recommended that you bring your own with you.
  • During the meeting, please ensure that poster tubes/packaging is NOT left anywhere in the poster area. Packaging should instead be stored in the Cloakroom area.
